mondeo brake discs - thomp1983
hi could somebody tell me how mondeo brake discs are bolted on a 98 s reg 1.8 and any other hints tips for changing them please

Front discs are held in place by the serated star washers that sit over the hub bolts.The disc is not screwed to the hub.

As for changing them, bit hit and miss. Many reports on this site of discs having to be destroyed to get them off. Mine came of with a tap from a nylon hammer. Copper slip the hub before you refit the new discs it stops em corroding to the hub, beware thou' do not put on to much grease as it'll migrate to your new discs. Don't forget to get new serated star washers, they are cheap enough.
