Can anyone recommend a boat trailer supplier, preferably in the North of England or South of Scotland?
Cost and immediate availability are most important considerations,

Try looking in the yachting magazines such as Practical Boat Owner, Motor Boat or Yachts and Yachting. Alternatively try a local yacht club, marina or brokerage there are often a few trailers there available second hand.
Depends on size and sort of boat you want to tow, dinghies have fairly standard trailers often available new off the shelf, bigger boats need fairly custom trailers.

Thanks Mark, I may have solved the problem. I hunted all over the place as the trailer is required for Friday and the budget for the family is very low. I was quoted between £700 and £900 pounds for a simple trailer which will be towing a 12 foot boat. Contacted the manufacturer directly and they have one in stock: including delivery it is less than £500...that is some mark-up that the local places were prepared to charge!
If time and money hadn't been a factor things might have been very different.........!!!
