Celica lambda sensor - kenny34123
I have a 1995 Toyota celica and it had just failed the emissions test. Almost every part of the test was over the limit. You can do a blink code test on these and it said the O2 sensor had a closed or open circuit. Would a faulty O2 sensor be enough to put all readings over the limit?.I have changed it and it seems to run smoother but I cant just keep taking it for a retest. First I would like to know that it has a fighting chance of passing.

Celica lambda sensor - Andrew Moorey (Tune-Up)
Not overly familiar with Toyota blink codes (they so rarely go wrong!)"the O2 sensor had a closed or open circuit." bit doesnt sound right though. Closed or open LOOP would indicate an intermittently operating sensor. This will cause all sorts of probs with the emissions. Chances are if that was the case you will have cured it.
