Polo MPI Master Cylinder - volcane
hi,

I have a problem with a brake servo on a 2001 Polo MPI 1.0. The brake pedal feels as if it being 'sucked in' to the bulhead but responds ok when it is pulled back up by foot. Does it require a very expensive master cyclinder. Any tips as to how to approach this job? (only 16k miles on car)

Whilst there is a light return spring in the Master Cylinder your probable broken spring is associated to the pedal box. I sustect the return spring has broken, from memory this is coiled around the the clutch pedal bush type affair and will require the shaft to be removed. Regards Peter
