Re: Morgan Cars - rogerb
All I know about 'em is that the Plus 8 is, jointly with the FSO Polonez, the most unpleasant-to-drive car I've had the misfortune to experience :-(
Re: Morgan Cars - Bob H
Mark,
The specifications havn't changed since 1946 have they?

Bob H
Re: Morgan Cars - Mark (Brazil)
Some have, depends which you are talking of (which car and which specification).
Re: Morgan Cars - Brill
Mm, not sure, could you list all the changes for each car spec :o)
Re: Morgan Cars - Mark (Brazil)
Don't be silly, Stuart, you'll get a smack.

However, for the truly interested...

Brookland Books (www.brookland-books.com) will sell you a book, reference -MOR4GP, ISBN, 185520 1895 Entitled "Morgan Plus 4 & Four/4 Gold Portfolio 1936-67" priced at a rather meagre £ 14.95 .

I offer the words from the introduction to further elucidate...( posted without permission, but since I'm recommending their boook, I doubt they'll object)

Morgan's appearances are deceptive to the outsider. In the introduction to Brooklands Morgan Cars Gold Portfolio, 1968-1989, I wrote, "a Morgan tends to be a car which you either love or simply do not understand. Morgan enthusiasts tend to be fanatical; the rest of the world tends to perceive them as eccentric." Nothing has changed there. On the face of it, Morgans have not changed in 30 years or more - but, as this book shows, the Malvern factory has, in fact, produced a variety of models.

Leaving aside the latest Aero 8, which even a non-fanatic can see is radically different whilst embodying the essence of all that is Morgan, just look at the variety of engines featured. It has always been Morgan policy to buy its engines in, and they range from the early carburettor Rover V8, through injected versions to modern 16-valve four-cylinder units. Each one has imparted its own particular character to the cars, which have retained their individuality throughout. 1968 was the year the Plus 8 model was launched, and over the succeeding years this has been well developed to take the more powerful engines available. During this time the 4/4 and Plus 4 have not been forgotten, and as better engines became available the cars were able to keep pace with modern traffic conditions.

The appeal of a raw two-seater roadster, which unashamedly traces its design roots back to the 1930s, and yet is not self consciously "retro", is quite unique. Morgans are, perhaps, an acquired taste, but for the lucky few who own them (and there have always been long waiting lists) nothing else will do.

That should help you find the details.
Re: Morgan Cars - Bob H
In Spanish & Portugese please
Re: Morgan Cars - Mark (Brazil)
you're all gits.

Re: Morgan Cars - Mark (Brazil)

And I can't be bothered to do anymore.
Re: Morgan Cars - The Growlette
I've always wanted a Morgan too, but tell me, how does anyone choose from 35,005 colors?

Telling the difference between all of THEM should be a challenge.

It changes the way to pronounce the "n".

eg.
Spanish = Spa - nn - ish
Español = Espa - ny - ol (as the "ny" in nyaah, nyaah).

Does that help ?

What, in those tiny seats? Get away.

Es verdad. Aunque usted debe tener cuidado de la rueda de manejo.

Well, Mr. W. Merry, I trust that you will note that you got one very worthwhile and informational answer, and a bunch of other stuff from the cheap seats at the back !!

Seriously, is that what you wanted to know ?

Apparently the Morgan Aero (the one that looks like Fat @!#$ from 'The Spy Who Shagged Me' sat on it) is very quick and has excellent ride and handling. See car by car breakdown.

That's right, I don't think the "ñ" has a name as such as it is in itself a letter.
