Rover - a good deal?? - MuttleyMcLad
A colleague at work is selling his car, i was wondering whether its worth considering?

1995 (M) Rover Coupe 1.6, Tahiti Blue (Honda engine), genuine 44k miles, 2 mature owners from new, full service history, i would describe this car as immaculate, mot till jan 2006, and 6 months tax. He is asking £1600, is it worth considering??

Thanks

Rich

I'd certainly consider it if I was in the market.

Good lively run-around.

Depends on the condition. What makes one car worth 800 and another worth 1600 is in the history provided, the cosmetic look of the thing and that certain something that isn't quantifiable. The Honda single cam and twin cam were dynamic motors tha thrived on a thrashing. The car is still a looker, wasn't its code name the the Tomcat ?.....

Just a thought - the Coupe might become a rarity, so if you look after it and keep it for some time it might not lose much in value.
