My A4 leaks water when it rains. Water collects in the area in front of the windscreen under the brake servo and battery ---sounds simple must be blocked drain --- but I can?t find a drain. Help where is the drain on a 98 A4

There's a drain at either end of the chamber, near the A pillar. I guess it'll be blocked with leaves or such like!

If the A4 is similar to my Passat (2002 model) the drain holes are under the servo and under the battery. To clear them I found that I needed to remove the battery and the servo. In my case the servo had been damaged as water had entered it and the brakes were being gently applied by the weight of the water in the servo (it took ages to discover why the brakes were binding).

if you remove the battery you can get to the one behind the servo.
