Today the Discovery went in for its MOT and Failed!
£500 worth ofwork, which didn't surprise me that much. It sailed through last year at the same garage, and to be fair some of the points I was expecting.
Well she's a good old gal so the cash will flow to help her but it got me thinking..... which is always dangerous I know.
The wife has that Nissan Almera auto but has been keen on exploring a combined car. I am perhaps tempted by a newer Discovery automatic. I know they are hopeless on economy but I do find myself needing sonething to tow a trailer on occasions and I like the Discovery, and it would reduce our car count. It seems that wifey is not too bothered about size but definitely needs an auto.
The alternative is to swap Almera and disco for an automatic MPV, I would be looking for something perhaps 3 or 4 years old, and 7 seats, though it wouldn't have to be a large 7 seater (grande scenic size) what have you all got, tried and what would you all recommend?

Auto? 7 seats but smallish? 3 or 4 years old? why that will be the Alhambra, Sharon, Galaxy trilogy then.

Previa perhaps?

The last ones were probably just over the 4 years but have you thought about a Honda Shuttle it was one of the best to drive at the time

The best option is a diesel automatic so that suggest the Chrysler Voyager (poor reliability and expensive), Sharalaxy trio which have reliability issues or the Hyundai Trajet CRDT.
We have a brand new Derv auto Trajet from September and the economy is just picking up to over 27mpg of mainly around town work. We get over 30mpg on a trip and that improves as the car gets run in.
They started coming in on a W or Y reg so you should be able to find an early diesel auto if you go on Autotrader or the Hyundai website.

Espada III - well if you have a family and need a Lamborghini, what else do you drive?
