If anyone can help ive got a list of things on a 306 im stumped with. Ive got a 1.4 XL, 115000, '95. Im what you might call a Haynes manual mechcanic.
Here they are :
1, A gringing/Rattle noise only when in gear and above 3000rpm. Sounds like something spining, but out of line(Like A Buckled Wheel).
2, Hardly any heat from blowers, only comes out centre of dash, luke warm even then. Have tried flushing system.
3, An evil clutch, got a left leg like Arnie!
4, Clicking/Cracking Brakes can be felt in pedal.
If any can help i would really apprieciate it. Am pulling hair out.

1. Sounds like clutch centre plate spring broken
2. Sounds like sticking/ faulty heater controls/solenoids.Or heater matrix blocked. Has it had antifreze changes every 2 years?
3. See 1 above.. New clutch need - and probably cable as well as strain may stretch it.
4. Sounds like wheel bearing - which could also be 1. or could be disks warped/ misaligned.
With 115k miles, it probably does need a new clutch and front disks and pads and wheel bearings. And heater matrices do corrode - any leaks?
