Warning - impersonating an official - BobbyG
As there are many threads relating to complaints to garages, shops etc, I feel that it is prudent to point out a little paragraph in a Which? report that I read at my dad\'s - I am not sure if it is this month\'s or the exact content.

However, the summary of it was that someone had complained to a well known clothes shop about a product and, when he was getting nowhere with his complaint, he claimed that he was from Trading Standards in the hope that they would panic and back down. The shop in question - ND checked this out, it turns out that he wasn\'t, he was taken to court and fined, I think , £1500 for impersonating an official!

Might be worth remembering when you are fighting your corner against a garage etc that you stick totally to the truth, otherwise things could backfire on you horribly!

Unless of course you do work for Trading Standards...

(Mods, not sure if the retailers name is allowed but if not I am sure you will delete it)
{I\'ve generalised it, just in case. DD}
