I have lost the adapter for my anti-theft wheel bolts. I beleive that the garage may have it still as they changed my brake disks and pads and disks 2 days ago. I am going to ring them tomorrow. If they say that they don't have it what options do i have ? (i'm afraid i do not have the code card number either).

You could start by telling us what type of vehicle.

Well known problem - most garages and tyre dealers have a device for removing anti-theft wheel locking nuts and bolts. If you can prove that the garage has definitely lost the adapter then they should remove the bolts and replace them with a new set.

An air chisel (if access allows) is a wonderful locking nut remover. I've seen it doen with my own eyes. Saves one hell of a lot of drilling!
Wre also have a set of proper removers aswell, but these aren't always able to be used on all nuts.......

a locking wheel nut remover can be made by putting a small roll pin into a socket just slightly bigger then the nut ,put the split of roll pin so it will be next to the nut ,it can be held in place by an opened out split pin with one end in the roll pin and the other over the edge of the socket, then tap it over the locked nut ,roll pin is hard enough to bite into nut. if the socket is of the right size its very effective but if anyone feels this reply defeats the purpose of locking nuts by telling crooks how to do it feel free to have it removed

I have a set of 'locking wheel nut removal sockets' - I bought them about 3 years ago from my local tool factor - cost about £18 IIRC.
There are three different sizes and they fit over the nut. They have a coarse spiral inside which 'bites' into the nut and undoes it. I only used it once (on a BMW 500 series) and it worked perfectly. If you don't want to buy one I gather that AA/RAC vans keep them on board, to you could try them.

Most(manufactuturer type)dealers will have a full set for the cars they sell;they should be able to undo it and tell you what replacement you need.
