First sight of new Discovery - daveyjp
Went to the local last night and whilst in the car park noticed a heavily desguised vehicle entering the car park along with a Range Rover. Realised it was the new Disco. Had a quick look around - it's almost as big as the Range Rover, but the inside was unfinished apart from the instrument binnacle and steering wheel. The car was full of telemetary and performance recording equipment. The Range Rover also appeared to be less than standard with a roll cage fitted and plenty of non standard buttons on the dash. Both vehicles were LHD.

First sight of new Discovery - Chas{P}
Saw one in the layby by J1 M6 last week with a lot more of the disguises removed. They also do a lot of testing along the Fosse Way near Gaydon, Warwickshire.

First sighting for me, as well as the new Aston DB9, was last summer at Gaydon where I sometimes work. They also use Ford Explorers as mules for future drivetrains.

This was in Leeds - but I do know there is a 4x4 course not far away from the pub they were in. As seen on Scrapheap Challenge a few weeks ago.

First sight of new Discovery - Altea Ego
Seen one close up, without its mule disguise. Really nice interior, kinda range roverish, quite a bit bigger and very errrrr range roverish. In fact its like a smaller range rover, only *much* more square and brick looking (if thats possible)

Oh Dear - SWMBO has fallen in love with it....she saw it on 5th Gear the other night....she is displaying all the classic signs by now. Next thing it will be a sleeping bag job at the Dealers.
