diesel advice needed - Ford Transit - gnome
Hello folks

Have a 2.5diesel transit, the timing belt broke after 25k (ford say replace after 40k)
Upon inspection the only visible damage appears to be some very bent push rods. Con rods, valves, pistons, rocker arms etc all seem fine.
The question is - is tehre likely to be damage that I can\'t see?
hairline crack in rocker arms are my first thought, & should I just rebuild with new rods & cam followers, or is it sensible to replace alot more than this?

If anyone else has previous experience & can comment that would be really useful

Thanks in advance

Is this a development of the old "york" diesel?
Used to look after the fleet run by a builder mate once. I think he had 3 or 4 snap a cambelt. Used to bend pushrods and smash rockers and caps, but always restarted after this and ran to the time they were scrapped

Do they also specify at what age the belt should be changed, and if so, is the vehicle older than that?
