Trying to remotely diagnose daughter’s poorly Clio from a distance - she’s in Staffordshire, I’m at Nice airport.
She’s telling me it’s running OK, but the steering feels a little lighter, the red ‘Stop’ light is on, as are a couple of other warning lights, and the speedo has stopped working.
Anyone any ‘top of the head’ suggestions?
I’ve had her look to check that the alternator belt is still on.

Daughter had a 52 plate Clio which developed a wiring short caused by chaffing in the engine compartment. Needed part of the loom replacing. Known issue, so seek a Renault specialist ideally.

I’ve just heard that the AA patrol is saying it’s a wheel speed sensor, so if that’s the case it’s a quick fix.

Very often on Renault models the abs wire becomes detached from its anchor point and rubs out on the suspension strut .
