i have a peugeot 406 1.9dt, just wondering do all 406's have intercoolers like the 306's because they use the same engines dont they? if not y dont they have them? if so where are they located?
also if it dont have one would there be much increase in performance if i fitted one?

Lee,
If your 406 is a turbo D it will have an intercooler. It's located in front of the radiator - you can't miss the mass of air trunking running all over the engine bay!
There was a Xantia SD which used a turbo charged non intercooled version of the XUD 1.9 engine, but don't know if there was also a Peugeot version.

Is it illogical? It must be Citroen....
