The Sport 3, as its name suggests, is a more performance oriented tyre. It is a good tyre, but may be overkill on a car with, at most, 96bhp (depending on age).

Are you planning to replace all four tyres?

Also, is the £20 extra per tyre?

yeah replacing all four and its just 20 in total. will there be any difference how they will last

Longevity is one of the things I'm thinking about. Performance tyres will generally have a softer compound for greater grip, but this may mean they wear faster. Obviously how you drive will be a big factor here though.

But, TBH, 'all season' tyres are usually what is recommended on the forum these days (certainly if you live in the UK). These perform pretty much as a 'summer tyre' (like the Premacy 4), but have a rubber compound which makes it perform much better in cold temperatures. If I was in your position, that is what I'd be going for. Something like Michelin Cross Climate or Goodyear Vector 4Seasons.

A generalisation is that the sport tyre might feel a little sharper to drive and lose a bit of comfort (which you might or might not notice).

PS3's will almost certainly wear a bit faster than the Primacy 4.
Either will be much better than a budget tyre and you might not even notice the difference.

Check the date of manufacture. The PS3 was replaced by the PS4 years ago, although it's quite normal for manufacturing to overlap for years before the old tyre is discontinued, because the replacement isn't necessarily available in all the old sizes. It's not bound to be old stock but worth checking.

It's not just that they'll not last as long, and thus cost a lot more over their lifetime, its that they are designed for performance/handling and not comfort (including cabin noise) and fuel efficiency.

You have to decide what you are looking for in a set of tyres, especially under the current economic climate and vis-a-vis the performance and inate handling your car has, as well as how you (want to) drive the car, part of the UK you live in (road type and condition, climate [some areas would benefit from cars being fitted with all season tyres or, if you have storage, summer/winter tyres for the time of year) and journey type.

Have a look at the tyre group tests and (admitedly subjective) user reviews of these and alternative tyres on the Tyre Reviews website. You may be able to choose reviews just for your model of car for the user reviews (make sure you get the right generation of model).
