Hello!. Hopefully someone can help me here as it's a well populated drivers forum.
Back in March I purchased a Citroen C4 Picasso, 57 plate, with an onboard computer system. About a week after buying it, upon setting off at lights, the car stalled and I got a "Handbrake faulty" message, so I turned over and started up again and off it went.
Since then, it would very much be hit and miss as to when it wanted to pop up, until two weeks ago, and now it seems to do it every drive. What I have noticed, is the following...
1. Also dependant, is after this message, I'll get an ESP/ASR fault flash up on the computer screen too. This doesn't happen as much however, but to me, it's linked.
2. What also happens, is if I don't turn the ignition back over as it tries to stall, and instead I rev it some to stop it cutting out, for about 1-2 minutes the car 100% has a drag to it, a real weight and getting it up to 30 on the road isn't as easy as it should be.
I've had the motor to a garage, and he just suggested to change the battery as it was running at 35% workrate, which I did, sadly to no avail.
I've once thought it was as simple as changing my biting foot position on the clutch, maybe I wasn't giving it the way it liked it, so I actually adjusted my driving, and I hit the perfect point for the car where I'm not putting it through unnessecary stress to set off, but that didn't solve the problem either.
I'm not fully scentific with cars, and this is my first diesel, so I'm pretty much at a loss as to what it could be. Hopefully someone can point me to what's causing it, either by pure knowledge or experience of the same issue.
Thanks!
