My car had a disk and pads replacement about 3 weeks ago and since then whenever I go on a winding road my left wheel becomes slightly hotter than the right one, and there is a sharp noise whenever I turn right or left, but the problem does not appear on a straight road. Car does not have a stuck break mechanism, if I drive on a motorway nothing happens, problem only happens on a road with loads of curves, after about 10-15 minutes of driving.
Went back to the mechanic (big service, about 6 ramps), looked at the breaking system, says there is nothing wrong with it, probably from the front wheels. Changed all 4 wheels (I had the winter tires on so I put the summer ones that had different rims, exactly the same size). Problem still happens.
Thing is, the road leading to the mechanic is very straight, it's difficult for me to show him exactly what is happening, they said as long as the car is in neutral and you turn the wheel and the brake pads don't touch the rotors everything is great. I think the break pads only slightly touch the disk, the left disk seams slightly more worn out than the right one and it's only been three weeks (done about 600 miles).
I'm almost sorry I changed the brakes, the old ones were worn out but did not have this problem.
Has anyone else experienced something similar?
