i replace my front brake pads about a month ago and the car has started to pull to the side upon braking, if i pump the pedal a few times it wil brake straight otherwise it will pull to the side , can anyone give me some info?

Sounds to me like your brakes need bleeding.

...or you may have a sticky caliper?? If you didn't have the problem before you changed the pads, or your brake pedal is not spongy this could be it.

Also, see how your new pads are sitting in their calipers, make sure they're not catching on a burr or something.

Bleeding the front brakes is quite easy, When I had my Renault 11 someone suggested opening the resevoir, making sure there was plenty of fluid and simply turning the bleed valve on like a tap. Guess what, it worked! Gravity is enough here. Rear brakes, old fashioned method I'm afraid.

There was a caliper change early in the life of the ZX, if you have the older calipers, they are a nightmare. The only option is to source a newer model set of calipers (you must change both sides), Got mine from the breakers, less than £50 for the pair inc. brake hoses etc. Never had a problem after that.
