VW Golf MK7 1.4TSI 2013 - Rear shock absorbers - golfauto11

Hello, the rear shock absorbers on my Golf make a popping sound at slow speeds. They appear to be doing their job ok, but I was just wondering if anyone else has the same problem. Regardless of it's current mileage, it has always done this.

I had that problem 2 years ago and despite many visits to VW the car was taken back after 7 months and I got my money back less wear and tear. It seems impossible to clear this problem. There is a You Tube of someone taking the issue to the Financial Ombudsmen as there was credit involved. The problem was solved by fitting Bilstein shock absorbers.

I now have a VW SV and it still has faults but after multiple vehicle ownership over the last 40 plus years as someone once said to me they all have faults!

Followed a car this afternoon and its rear nearside was bouncing all over the place. Can't they feel it inside? Vauxhall I think.
