Please can anyone help???

I went to do an oil change on our Skoda Roomster and managed to drain the Automatic transmission fluid by mistake. I only lost about half a litre (if that) before I realised my mistake and put the plug back in but obviously now it needs putting back in. Yeah, I know I should change it but as a temporary measure until I can afford some new stuff, I'll put what I drained back in...

Trouble is, for the life of me I can't find the filler plug, please can anyone help??

It's a 1.6 Petrol with a 6 speed auto (DSG??) box.

Thanks

There is no filler plug . The gearbox is filled through the drain plug tube using a special pump and adaptor. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sealey-VS70095-Transmission-Oil...1

Nightmare. That's an expensive mistake.

Look on the bright side, for that £72.50 + the cost of the oil you've covered the all important oil change on your gearbox, downside is you'll be without the car for a couple of days while the unit is delivered.

Once the job is done you have a choice to keep the unit or flog it on via the usual auction site, whatever you decide will almost certainly be cheaper than the dealer changing the oil for you.

That's true and to be fair it does look like it needs changing. I just can't afford it for a few days and I need the car ??

I did find a couple of big Torx screws at the top of the gearbox, one facing up at the back and another, located higher up but on the side and facing out. No way I can fill it through either of those??

Amazing, I can see why people pay a premium for engineering of this calibre!

(What do you mean soft touch plastics and LED running lamps aren't engineering?)
