Seat Ibiza 2018 1.0 TSI 115 start/stop - EPC Light / Check Engine Light - is it doomed? - pocket-rocket

My car's (18 plate!) EPC and Check Engine Light has appeared.

Obviously I have sent it back to Seat with the hope it is covered under warranty but my question is - is this a sign of future problems to come with anyone else's experience?

I got a new car on PCP with hope for peace of mind (had such bad luck with previous older cars- head gasket etc) and now I am not happy at all.

Engine control systems on modern cars are very complicated with loads of sensors feeding info into the Ecu . Interrogation through the diagnostic system should help identify the problem . Doubt if this will be the last of any issue . All makers have their problems.
