Just had to pay over £400 to fix the front passenger window! A new window motor and wiring were required.

Given that the rear electric parking sensors have also been problematical I am not impressed.

Previously I have owned an Accord and a MX5 for 12+ years without any electric problems.

Spoke to VW customer care who did not want to comment on the faults or help in any way

The Accord and MX5 are Japanese though...........!

But in fairness, given the car's warranty when new was 3 years, not sure what you expected VW to do about it?.

Also, you didn't 'have' to pay that much, you could have got a used window motor from a breaker. Not sure how much the wiring costs, but 2nd hand motors are available on Ebay from under £20.
