2006 Volkswagen Polo 1.4 - Misfire - Cubic
My car is intermittently misfiring, usually at motorway speeds. Sometimes it is lumpy on startup for a few seconds too.

Before I did anything, I scanned for codes a cylinder 3 misfire came up. Replaced all coils and plugs, checked wiring and cleared the code, and all was well for a few days. Cylinder 3 is misfiring again now and the same code is coming up.

Someone suggested the crank sensor. Would this really only cause cylinder 3 to misfire?

Unlikely to be the crank sensor for 1 cylinder misfire. I would be looking at a mechanical problem , possibly a low compression issue on that # 3 cylinder.
