Not sure if I've been had by my dealer buying a 1 month old Touran 1.6 SE Family?
I collected it today from a Volvo dealer one month old with 800 miles on the clock, one previous owner.
While checking through the documentation I noticed that the vehicle data sticker loose inside the owners manual was not for the car I was purchasing but for a different Touran. I pointed this out to the salesman and he took it out and nothing more was really said. I know I should have investigated further at the time but with checking everything else I didn't think.
Anyway, back home this evening, I notice that there is no information in the service book recorded for a pre delivery inspection. The book is blank, no sticker, no dealer stamp or first reg date. Its as if its a replacement book.
Reading online tonight, I find out that there should be a vehicle data sticker in the spare wheel well, but there isn't.
Should I be concerned?
Will the remainder of the VW warranty be valid with no PDI info?
Will a VW dealer be able to give me the details of the PDI if there was one carried out and also a print of the vehicle spec in the absence of the sticker?
I can't even identify the paint code although I believe its reflex silver.
The chain that I bought the car from do have VW franchises but this was from a Volvo dealership so not part of the Das Welt approved used program.
