Peugeot 407 - ABS & ESP Fault light on dashboard - Marc Wood

Hi,

I have a 56 reg, Peugeot 407 2.0 hdi auto and recently the ABS & ESP warning lights apoear every time the ignition is switched on. This has happened before on an intermittent basis then nothing showed for over a month before this more permanent episode.

Been to a garage for diagnostic check thinking maybe dodgy ABS sensor but ABS system & all sensors working. However, a fault code which is P1830 shows on diagnostic download.

Has anybody come across this before & how is this best resolved?

Any help or suggestions will be very much appreciated.

If the abs/traction lights are showing, there must be some fault logged in the system , even if the problem is intermittent. “P” codes are for Powertrain engine/ transmission. Perhaps you need a more in depth investigation with different diagnostic kit.
