Please help!
We had to take our grand scenic (1.5dci - 06 reg) back to Mr. Clutch to have new clutch/cylinders/flywheel replaced under warranty (again!) but now we have no parking brake at all.
The guy at Mr. Clutch said that the brakes locked on our car on the back of the recovery truck but the driver managed to "find a way" to release them (I'm guessing the manual release in the boot as the clip holding that in has now broken - see pic).
They said they had problems re-engaging the brakes whist it was there. They ran diagnostics and said the error code was "low battery voltage" which could affect some systems and to try it over the weekend, just put it in gear when I park.
There were no faults on the dash after the brake issue. A day later, "Check ABS Braking" error appeared on the dash. I have just tried with the ignition and the service/parking brake on messages keep flashing on and off (see video here). When the engine is running the messages are permanent.
I have tried the parking brake reset (neutral/ignition hold/parking brake disengage/engage etc) but nothing! There are no sounds from the motors and no response from the switch (the light just flashes red all the time). I have tried re-using the yellow pull lever and testing again to no avail. I have had the battery off for 30 min and no difference.
