Earlier today I viewed/drove a Nissan Note that I'm interested in and there was no hint of CAT smell - even to my abnormally sensitive nose! So that's one box ticked. Thanks again.
As per previous comment you should never be able to smell what is coming out of your own car's exhaust unless you are driving backwards or you have a hatch seal leak. However you do smell the cars in front. I have an issue following some diesel engined cars that have a major Woodbine habit and get annoyed with people reporting that they have deleted their DPF. Hopefully the new MOT will get these cars off the road.
Nissan Note - great car especially the pre 63 model change ones. The later ones aren't too bad either.
