Rear Lights - Was it a Toyota Prius.??? - oldroverboy.

Driving on the A12 last night returning home and this "thing" in front of me with two "lightning flashes" for rear lights.. 2 feet long, vertical.....

blinding and choose your adjective. At least the whole thing didn't light up brighter when he braked.

I slowed down and let a couple of cars get in front of me.

Surely that suggests it was the brake lights and they were stuck on.

No... a little square bit lit up when he braked.. but i can't find a toyota or prius with lights like that..

Could have been an import, i.e, something you are not familiar with?. The fact that the lights in question were 2' long and vertical suggests an SUV, MPV or estate.

Sounds like a MK1 Cit C4 Grand Picasso - although the tall lights are not that bright...

Could have been an import, i.e, something you are not familiar with?. The fact that the lights in question were 2' long and vertical suggests an SUV, MPV or estate.

The new Prius has lights that are long, almost from top to bottom of the rear wings with smaller brake lights and very thin, I like led lights but they are too much imo...

Brake lights are a bit small compared to sidelights, most I see are driven very slow and nowhere near speed limit, but then they are Taxis working late at night so no one to worry about, I think Toyota could have made a better job of that rear end !

Quite a distinctive look, but I have to say I do like the current Prius.

Had to laugh at some of the sales blurb from Dallas Toyota. The hood is US speak for the bonnet right?, so under "important other features under the hood" was 'rear coil springs'. Surely this would be a very odd place to find them?! . Also, "other features" are listed as being one of the "other important features"..........?
