Indeed that wants to be warranty job, though i would agree with changing all if one had failed, hopefully at this mileage there's less chance of one snapping off than when they've been in situ 10 years.

Cost seems high, but access to anything on the heads is a nightmare, i changed the spark plugs on our H6, once was enough had the scars on the backs of my hands and wrists for weeks, i let the LPG converter swap the Forester set out whilst being converted.

Very unusal for glow plugs to fail at that age. No reason why you have to change them all, it is only a glow plug. If Subaru play silly b*****s then look elsewhere for a replacement as SUB buy them in. I would have them all checked before you go any further.

The standard NGK glow plug fitment for the Subaru diesel is a Y606J -stock no 92828 @£11.84 each inc vat from

Get them to check if that fitment has been updated
