Problem Light oil Mini One 2003

Hello

I have a little problem on my mini one.

When I am at the stop I have my oil light that lights up and as I accelerate it goes off!

Yes it is a pressure problem that can be from the filter, sensor, pressure, oil, pump, etc!

In order to remove the assumptions I carry out the least costly operations.

I lingered on the drain and especially the oil filter.

And the spring in the bell for the oil filter.

My question is the following or can I find this spring for sale!

After hours of searching I can not find.

Can someone help me?

You need to measure youre oil pressure. The oil light comes on if it is low.

It could be low oil pressure, caused by a few things.

It could be a faulty oil pressure switch.

It could be faulty wiring.

When your engine is idling your oil pump is creating less pressure. When your engine is revving the oil pressure increases.

I personally wouldn't drive it until you have found the issue, if it's the oil pump failure will cause oil starvation and serious engine damage.

If it's the pressure switch that's faulty its a simple swap.
