Hi,

Bought used; boot opened most of the time when switch on hatch door pressed.

Number of presses needed before lock actuated gradually increased now about 50 per 1 lock actuation. Also lock half opens often so that lid lifts a bit but lock not fully open.

So far as I can see there is no manual opening on this car???

Out of six mkonth guarantee so will prob be fixing myself; getting to be a serious nuisance.

Any advice most welcome!!

You should be able to open the tailgate via an emergency open lever usually accessed via a removeable plastic panel at the base of the tailgate door card.It may even be visible on the door latch itself,just above the striker plate.

Took out the square plastic panel on bottom of inside trim. The electric actuator is visible inside but nothing remotely like a manual release???

Anyone out there actually done this on similar model ?????

There should be a white plastic lever,part of the latch unit,where you engage a flat screwdriver,and move it across to open.I have seen some models with a plastic sleeve covering the latch,so it is not easily visible.the sleeve just lifts off.
