Fird Fiesta Edge 2012 - Fuel nozzle gets stuck - cjdavies

I have owned by previous 2004 Ford Fiesta for 12 years and putting petrol has never been a problem.

Now I have a 2012 version Fiesta with the Easy Fuel capless fuel filler and put petrol in 3 times and each time I cannot get the nozzle out easy, it gets stuck.

What is the problem? Any suggestions to the solution before I cause damage?

Not sure about the Ford one, but if the nozzle goes in too far it`s lip gets stuck against the flap and is hard to remove so best not to push in too hard

I gather its a common problem

I'm on my third Ford with Easy Fuel-my daughter is also on her third;neither of us have had any concerns.What does it stick on?You need to come out straight.You can't go in too far-there is a ridge on the filler end of the filling hose.

  1. Think I must be putting it in too far,as what are the chances of the tips being worn on each one! Will keep an eye on the nozzle for an ridges etcetc
