Anyone any idea,why the hi level brake light is illuminating when i switch on the main lights? The brake lights are fine,when no main lights on,and just the side brake lights come on when brakes applied with main lights on, as hi level is already on! Please help, dreaded MOT next month.

Sounds like there may be some shorted wiring in the tailgate.Check the wiring where it runs through the rubber tubing from body to tailgate.

How do I get the rubber tube off to look inside?

There was a short in the brakelight bulb! Confusing because it still worked.
