Honda Jazz 1.4 CVT-7 - Car not reversing - RogJazz

On a slight slope the reverse does not engage.

Have changed the fluid 3 times in the past year which alleviated mostly the judder pulling away in forward drive. Recently the reversing problem has manifested itself. What can it be?

Automatic I assume? I wouldn't concern yourself too much with what the cause is because you're not going to fix it. Checking the transmission oil level is about as far as you can go yourself. Beyond that automatic transmissions are highly specialist.

Two differing CVT geraboxes: pre 2009 and post 2012.

I assume it's the early one.
