BMW 5 Series E39 - Brake fluid top up by mistake in PAS reservoir - Steveieb

Just realised I topped up my PAS reservoir with brake fluid. Siphoned out the contents of the reservoir and intend to repeat the process.

Grateful for your advice.

I'd repeat the oil replacement two or three times a few days apart to make sure you have it all out.

If you didn't start the engine you should only have it in the reservoir, still a good idea to flush it out though.

If you didn't run the engine, no matter, what you put in, you have sucked out. If you did run it, I'd replace the reservoir (it has a filter in the bottom) after a flush.
