I haven't driven the new QQ, but have manoeuvered a goodly number of (mainly PSA) various makes cars with the dreaded EPB at extreme angles when i was still driving car transporters.
To be fair they usually worked quite efficiently fully automatically at hill starts, and transporter angles are usually at the extreme with the cars close enough to steel bodywork or other cars that movement the wrong way cannot be allowed to happen.
As already said as you engage the clutch the EPB will release at the appropriate moment, the only thing you have to watch till you're used to it is that where you would gradually release a manual brake, and after a few stalls/frights would perfect how much power to apply for any given slope, the EPB will fully release, again you'll get the feel for it soon enough.
No worse than a manual gearbox RWD Merc, the manual parking brake of which releases instantly and with a disturbing clunk when you pull the lever.
I bet within a couple of days and a bit of playing around with it, on various slopes where no harm can be done if you get it a bit wrong, that you'll be as happy as larry.
Be interesting to know if you prefer leaving it in fully auto mode, or whether (if it's even possible) that you prefer to operate in manually.
Hope you enjoy your new car.
