After a bit of digging around, I'm pretty sure Howdens is not connected with Vance Miller.

People interested in installing a new fitted thingummybob might want to steer clear, though.

See www.k******reviewsindex.co.uk/dreadful.asp for a totally damning rating ("dreadful" - the worst). I'm slightly surprised that Wickes, Magnet, Homebase and IKEA are in the "avoid" category, but what do I know?

From our experience Howdens' materials are fine but it's best to have them installed by a builder / carpenter you know.

Doing it this way came to about a third of the price of a local supplier (Wincombe k******s, Shaftesbury), and in my daugter's house half the price of Wickes.

I woud doubt if Howdens, a reputable company, have anythingto do with the pointless spam that I've deleted.

Wickes source from another comoany whose name escapes me. IKEA are said to be very good value, not fancy, but for the price good, and if well fitted you will,have a nice you know what The problem is most probably the fitters. If you get Homebase to fit, they subcontract out, pay 10p to the fitter, and keep £5,000. Not surprisingly the fitter does not really care. I have an Optiplan k******, and paid the fitter directly a decent amount, so he earns more than me! The fitting was very good. So to get a good you know what, find a good fitter, then get him to install it. A trade account at Howdens will get a huge discount.

Personally I think a k****** is so important I would never deal with a charlatan such as Vance. I once had cowboy bathroom installers, it can get expensive!
