Thanks for the response. I was not aware it was not a current model year. I was concerned with the 2013 adjacent to the model reference but as it is a bank holiday no-one was available at the delaership tos discuss. I would be concerned if the car had been sat in a compund for 2 years.

Something is wrong here. Why on earth would a new car sit around for nearly 2.5 years.

I'd be asking if the car sustained accident or other damage (i.e. flood, vandalism, ANYTHING), and had to be repaired (probably extensively) before being sold. Ask in writing, and insist on the answer in writing too.

There is no way that a car would sit around for that long. Even if the spec/engine was a weird combination, they'd have discounted it down to get it out of the door and off their books.

Face-lift SLK 2015 soon to be available if not in the dealer palaces already. Mentioned in a well known car mag (not HJ as I first thought!). No doubt will be discounted by the usual outfits.
