Is it important to use fully synthetic oil for oil top ups and what oil is recommended?

Just tried the Castrol site-it recommends 5w/30 for my car whilst Ford recommend 5w/20!!

Alway use what ford recommend and make sure it has the correct ford appovals. From then on Comma is as good as any!

The Comma site also shows 5w/30 instead of Ford's recommendation of 5w/20!

Because that is what Ford specify and they know a thing or 2 about what their engines needs, they design and build them don't they. To use any product that does not meet Fords spec is just plain stupid. The difference in cost for a top up is minimal.
