Tvoyota Yaris Trend VVT-I - Engine Oil / Brake Fluid - itisme88

Hello,

I have bought a Toyota Yaris Trend VVT-I

Reading the manual it states to use Toyota Genuine Engine Oil.Can anyone tell me the actual grade I can use - 5W-30, 10W-30 and 10W-40??

Also the Brake Fluid - DOT 3 brake fluid?

Toyota's Preferred oil will be 0W-20 API SM or SN - this is what the car would have been filled with at the factory.

Brake fluid either DOT3 or DOT4

I found Castrol Magnatec 5W-30 C3 Fully Synthetic, says for Toyotas. St the back it states SAE SW-30:API SN/CF; ACEA C3; BMW LOnglife-04

Will this be OK to use ?

ACEA C3 is a diesel oil spec, fully synthetic and low SAPS. That is not to say its not suitable to use in a petrol but you need to check.

Why not simply go to your local Toyota dealer and ask.
