Ford Fiesta Zetec - Heater not working - biggrin

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a probable fault with the heater on a Fiesta. I am hoping to fix it for my niece this week, but I'm not really that familiar with Ford cars.

Many thanks in advance for any advice, or suggestions.

Could be a variety of faults.How old is this car?What problem do you have? No heat,No blower?

The car is on a 54 plate , and as far as I know it's a heat problem as my niece told me it was blowing cold air.

Start by checking the coolant level.A lack of fluid in the cooling system will definitely cause the heater to not operate correctly. Fortunately on this model there is no heater control valve,the hot/cold blend flaps of the heater mechanism are cable driven.

Most likely the heater valve is faulty. It's located at the bulkhead, and failures are very common on Fiesta models.

Surely the air blend heater went out in 1996 to be replaced by the cheaper but troublesome water valve type.
