I bought a 1 series bmw diesel back in may, my 1 concern is the terrible tramlining it suffers on many of the b roads i travel on sometimes under braking even vearing of line if the surface is uneven aswell , it runs on 225-45 17S is this a common occurence and is there any cure ?

I had a 118D for 5 years and it did not tramline on any road. Great car.

But mine had 205 50 17 tyre in the summer and 205 55 16 in the winter. The wider the tyre the more likely it is to tramline.

Don't know what ae your car is but when i bought mine 225 45 17 was not an option on the front, think it was on the rear. I suspect tyre size is your problem.
