Ford Ka - Spare wheel - chrisjwood

Hi all, we have an issue with our Ford Ka - no spare wheel supplied with the car!

We've looked on the official Ford parts website and £158 seems very steep for a 14" spare wheel and tyre...

Couple of questions:

- Can the old Ford Ka wheels be fitted on the mk2? Is the pin arrangement the same?

- Are there any alternative manufacturers that use the same pin arrangement?

- Is the well in the boot deep enough for a full size wheel or just the space saver?

Thanks

Chris

The current Ford KA (not the old one) is based on the Fiat Panda (strange but true).

It would be worth checking if a scrapped Fiat Panda wheel fits.

Otherwise the price you have been quoted for the wheel is far too high. A basic steel wheel of the right size will be available from many suppliers, and a tyre from blackcircles.com will be cheap.

do you need a jack too? Again they will be available much more cheaply than Ford supply.

good luck

Have a look around this website: www.wheelfitment.eu/

It's not just the fixing hole spacing(PCD) you have to get right, but also the centre bore (CB) and offset (ET). I assume you realise the diameter and width also need to match.

It won't answer your last question, you'll have to measure a wheel.

Search for "Ford KA spare wheel" on ebay, plenty available much cheaper than you have been quoted
