Mazda 3 automatic 4 door automatic - Buyers beware in Barnsley faulty Mazda 3 for sale - alan01feb

A main agent is attempting to shift the above car in the full knowledge that the bushes have degraded on near side and off side that will cost over £650 to repair and not informing customers.

Please beware - Very poor service from a name I thought I could trust

I nearly bought the vehicle until we found out independently about the problems, they do not appear follow OFT guidelines about informing customers about faults and ignore e mails even sent to their CEO.

Poor service from a large group.

If its a trade in I suspect they dont know whats wrong with the car, though it depends how bad the degrading is, ie, if dangerous I dont think they are allowed to sell it,some garages dont inspect cars untill they have a buyer because they dont know how long they will stand in car park for

Unless they trade sell or Auction it

They new exactly what was wrong with it as they MOT it themselves and they listed that the both front bushes had degraded and not were degrading as an advisory on the MOT but did not tell me this.

They were prepared to let me drive from Barnsley to Essex a 180 mile motorway journey at high speed without informing me.

This has been reported to trading standards as this is a dangerous practice.

It would Not pass mot if it was dangerous,an advisery is a recomendation to repair fix before/for next MOT,very often next mot comes around and its not mentioned, so as it says its advisory not has to be done.

Would you purchase a car for £4K in the knowledge that it needed £650 worth of repairs as both front bushes had degraded and carry your family in it without having it repaired.

Further OFT guidlines are clear in that we should have been notified.

Had the bushes been degrading this would not have been serious. If the bushes had not been replaced swiftly this would have caused wear in the other suspension components.

Not sure if you are a dealer but if you are would you let the customer know?

Having not seen it its impossible to comment,I could only say if it was only surface cracks in the bushes then an advisory is all thats needed and I would use the car untill steering suspension gave me reason not to or severe tyre wear occured,I am a mechanic so I would know,

but to someone who doesnt know about cars it would be a worry,people buy cars like that all the time, ie, no such thing as a perfect car not even a new car IMO

If they were on the MOT why did you need to find out about them independently?

As mentioned above just because they are an advisory does not mean they are dangerous.

All I can see here is a lot of ranting from someone who's miffed at spending a day on the road to look at a car they ended up not liking. Some of your scribblings don't even make sense.

Anyway, what made you think you can trust a car dealer? How naive!!
They are all one step away from horse traders. Fins on their backs that would shame a great white.
