Motability Renewal Options - BrianTheLion80

Im posting on behalf of my 74yr old father. His Motability car is up for renewal from next month and Ive been trying to help him come up with a decent replacement for his Citroen C4.

He never ventures onto the motorways at all and very rarely uses roads with speed limits in excess of 40mph.

The car needs to be able to comfortably carry two car seats and an adult in the back also.

Urban MPG is important in the renewal decision, along with his desire to spend no more than £200 on his "advance payment"

Ive come up with the following options for him.

New Quasqai 1.2 Acenta

Seat Leon ST 1.2 SE

Seat Leon 1.4 SE

Skoda Octavia 1.2 SE

Bearing in mind the above... which car do you think would suit him best?

If he's disabled or not very mobile. the important thing is to try the cars on the showroom to see how easy they are to get in and out of. It's partly a matter of door and seat height; also the distance between the seat and the door sill.

You could add the Honda Jazz and Ford B-Max to this list. The Ford and the Qashqai are higher off the ground which may or may not be helpful depending on your father's mobility.

If he's liked his Citroen, the C3 Picasso is another possibility.
