1999 FORD FIESTA 1.3 PETROL - LOST GEARS - V361

On the way home from work i pulled away from a set of Traffic Lights and could not engage third fourth fifth or reverse but first and second are fine and work as normal anyone have any ideas i was thinking maybe the linkage thanks in advance

If you lost them all at once its unlikely that its a gearbox problem, more likely linkage or cables whichever yours has. Could just that one has become disconnected.

The gear selector shaft protrudes from the rear lower of the gearbox about 2 inches ...

The remote gear change rod clamps to this shaft ...

This clamp can move if not tightened properly ...

There is a way with a pin to set this but when removing the gearbox it is common to scribe a line on the shaft and clamp ...

Check if there are any markings if not move the clamp fractionally checking each time if gears engage ...
