Escort Estate 2000 - Brake System Warning Light - jc2

This warning light glows slightly all the time-works correctly on handbrake/low fluid-obviously a minor short somewhere in the loom but how to find it-pulled/pushed loom wherever you can see it but no change-ANY IDEAS???

front pads low? some fords have wired in pads and the light starts lighting up as they start getting too low?

What happens if you disconnect the low fluid level sensor on the reservoir.?This will stop the handbrake light working,but does it stop the glow?
