Renault Master - Panel van to camper conversion..model advice neede - ecoman

Planning on getting a panel van and converting to a stealth camper;

1. Am I better getting a younger chain drive cam (i.e.Renault Master 2010 on) with high mileage or an older belt drive with lower miles?

2. What 2000 onwards makes/models have chain drive cam engines.

3. Is there a new law that now states that I cannot convert a van to a camper and have it re-registered?

Renault vans are not the most relaible of vehicles unless the later one has improved, they look nice and are well appointed but if you do a search for problems they have plenty. The Citroen/Peugeot diesels are about the most reliable although they are all far to complicated now.
