I replaced my 1.8 NA engine(58 hp) cambelt. I got a gates kit, and the new belt is not as wide as the Motorcraft belt from Ford. Also, it is fitted too close to the pulley edge inward and the belt gets hot under operation.Is this normal?
Any suggestion about how to check the tension using thumbs is welcome.
